As telecare providers here will know, many people in Ireland, and particularly those in rural areas are still without broadband. Communications Minister, Pat Rabitte has just announced a new Rural Broadband Scheme which aims to identify the remaining individual premises that are unable to obtain a broadband service and to provide a service to those premises where requested.
